The dowel pins are straight-grained hardwood with chamfered ends for easy installation. They are also grooved to accommodate excess glue during insertion. The fluted dowel pins swell on contact with water-based glue for an extra-tight fit. The doweling kit works with General Tools #840 and #841 doweling jigs.
